Zara Attractions 

Çarşı Mosque-Meydan Mosque:  It is located in the Bazaar in the district center. Its plan is rectangular. According to the records of the Ottoman period, the name of the mosque appears as "Zaralızade Mehmet Pasha mosque". Therefore, the mosque is thought to have been built by Mehmet Pasha. 

Zara Mansions:  They are located in the district center. It has been preserved until today and its number is 6. One of them is in Kızılırmak District, 5 of them are in Yenicami District. Zara Martyrdom and Memorial:  In 1915, there was an epidemic among the soldiers. The hospital, where only 3 doctors work, was established in Zara district. Since the epidemic could not be controlled, many soldiers died. These soldiers were buried in mass cemeteries that can take 50-60 funerals. The monument was built at that time.  

Tödürge Caves-Zara Rock Caves:  It used to be cold storage, but nowadays they are caves used only for visiting purposes.  Sivas Erzurum located on the highway. The number of caves is thought to be around 100. According to some sources, the rock caves are dated between 1200 and 750 BC. At the same time, it is estimated that these caves were used for shelter in the Roman period. Caves carved by humans are arranged side by side in some places and in multi-storey fashion with small chambers in some places. There are peepholes in some parts of the caves. Inside some caves, they made Cross symbols on the walls, after which a Christian community lived here.

Leech Lake: It is 33 km from the district center. The lake is located in scotch pine forests. It is fed by water boiling from the bottom and water flowing from the wells. Leeches living in the natural environment of the lake are collected by local people and visitors and used for treatment.

Zara Honey and Culture Festival : It is traditionally held every year in the Zara Festival area in August. In the festival, activities such as public concerts, calf races, Karakucak wrestling, honey stand, circumcision feast, local food stand, folk dances, village theater games are organized. The aim was to introduce Zara honey and the culture of the district outside the province and it aims to become more popular and increase tourism.
