Sultanhani, also known as turkey's largest caravanserai, was built in 1229 by Aladdin Keykubat I. When it was 1278 due to the fire after its construction, it was repaired by Gyaseddin Keyhüsrev. This caravanserai, whose cut stone structure is extremely attentive, is one of the most important examples. In addition to being the first sultan's inn in Anatolia, the architect was Mohammed bin Havlan Al-Dimaski, who came from Damascus, Syria, according to the inscription on the courtyard door. It is also the only inn in Turkey with marble doors.
Sultanhani is entered through the door located to the north. The crown doors are extremely specially prepared and successfully reflect the architecture of the period.
