İlkadım Monument
Atatürk's 19th of May 1919 'It was built to symbolize the landing in Anatolia. It was made by the sculptor Hakkı Atamalı between 1981-1982. In this monument, which was built by the people of Samsun personally for the 100th anniversary of our ancestor's birth, the foremost three figures symbolize Atatürk and his war comrades who fought shoulder to shoulder with him, the first landing in Samsun and the War of Independence.
Gazi Museum
When Atatürk first came to Samsun on May 19, 1919, there were two known as Mıntıka Palas. It remained in a building with three floors. Later, on their arrival, the people of Samsun hosted Atatürk in this building. Opened to the public on October 5, 1940 as the Gazi Museum, this building is located on Mecidiye Street in Samsun's İlkadım district. Atatürk's living quarters, photographs and documents are still exhibited in the building, in the Gazi Museum. At the same time, there is a model of the Bandırma Ferry in the Congress Hall.
