Sabanozu
The region was conquered by Karatekin Bey and joined the Danişment lands. In the following period, Seljuks, Candaroğulları and İsfendiyaroğulları ruled.
Later he joined the Ottoman lands. Throughout history, the region has never been occupied by the enemy. It became a county in 1944. Let's talk about the origin of its name: It is said that the Şabanözü region was founded by a person named "Şaban Koca". Since both sides of the Sanı stream passing through the settlement are covered with willow bushes and green trees, the area is called "Şabanözü" because the stream bed is called "Öz" and consists of Şaban and Öz. The region is located in the southern part of Kologlu Mountains in Sanı Deresi Valley, between Aydos-Eldivan Mountains and in Central Anatolia. There is a wide plain in the south of the area. The altitude is 1100 meters. Sanı Stream rises from the foothills of Sanı Mountain and passes through the middle of the field. Terrestrial climate is dominant in the region.
