PLACES TO VISIT IN LALAPAŞA

MUHIDDIN BABA TOMB:  Muhiddin Baba, one of the Anatolian Yoruk Turks, came and settled here and when he died in 1513, he was buried in his tomb. 

DOLMEN: These are also called Lalapaşa Kapaklısı. Dolmens are known as prehistoric structures and can only be seen in Kars and this region in our country.  

In other words, they are the grave monuments of a community that migrated from the Northern Balkans to Thrace in the early Iron Age. Dolmens consist of a grave chamber and vertical stones covering it. These vertical stones are 2-3 meters long and quite heavy. Vertical stones were built overlapping without using any connection apparatus. During the excavations in these dolmens, grave gifts such as metal jewelery, tear bottles were found and are exhibited in Edirne Archeology Museum. 

MENHİRLER:  Menhirs upright placed as a single block of stones. These block stones were carved and processed from rough stones.
