KORGUN

Korgun is a district of Çankırı province. It was previously a town and became a district in 1990. The district, which is 20 kilometers away from Çankırı, has ilgaz districts to the north, Çankırı center to the east, Eldivan and Sabanözü to the south and Kurşunlu districts to the west.

PLACES TO VISIT IN KORGUN

ALPSARI POND: Located about 22 km from çankırı city center and 10 km from the district center, this pond is considered the largest pond in Çankırı province. The pond has an area of about 227,000 square meters. Alpsari pond has restaurants, masabanks, pergulets, cycling and hiking paths, volleyball and basketball courts, tennis court, artificial lawn court, conditioning equipment and visitors can take sea bikes and boats around the pond. MEHMET ŞEVKET SİPAHİ MANSION: Located in the district center. The mansion was built in 1933 and restored in 2003.

EAST NEIGHBORHOOD WINDOW: The mosque in the center of the district is an estimated 19th century building. There is no inscription. Therefore, it is not known when and by whom. The pen works in the wall and dome of the mosque, which has no last congregational place and minaret, were made by Ali Usta of Tosya and is worth a visit.
