Kazimkarabekir, formerly known as Gaferiyet, is a district of Karaman province and the center of this district.
Located on the D-715 highway, the district is 23 km from Karaman and 76 km from Konya. It was founded on the northern outskirts of part of the Taurus Mountains, which are called Hajibaba mountain among the locals. In 1989, karaman became a province and gained district status.
