KAYNARCA
Our Kaynarca district Sakarya. Hoca Village, the oldest name, later became Sheikhs. As it is known today, it took the name Kaynarca. When we compare the old and the present, the changing names of the district have no similarities with each other. The district is fully Kocaeli and Sakarya Valley. Its distance to the city center is 38 km. The date of establishment of Kaynarca district is not written in any historical sources and it is not known by the experts. Kaynarca was invaded by the Greeks on March 25, 1920, and as a result of the long efforts of our martyrs, our region was taken back from the enemy and saved on April 16, 1921. Afterwards, the enemy was occupied again on April 30, 1921 and was rescued from the enemy occupation on May 3, 1921 as a result of the long efforts of our martyrs. Its current name was changed to "Kaynarca" by law on April 1, 1959 and then it was attached to Sakarya Province on 21 January 1966 by law. Until now, I could not find a source about why the names of this district are so different from each other.

Sheikh Muslihiddin Mosque
This mosque is in Büyük Kaynarca Village, just outside the district center. What distinguishes it from other mosques is that it is in the old cemetery for me. Although the date 1486 is written on the inscription on the fountain of the mosque, we do not have clear information about the date of construction. If we make a comment according to the date written in the inscription, this mosque is the oldest Ottoman work in the region.
Acarlar Guild
