PLACES TO VISIT IN KAVAK
CASTLE FOUNDATION MOUNT: The mound is located in Yeni Camii Mahallesi and is 10 kilometers away from the district center. As a result of the archaeological excavations, historical building remains from many periods were found and it is known that it was used as an important settlement in the Copper Age.
ÇAKALLI HAN: It was built by the Seljuks in the late 13th century to accommodate caravans passing by. The inn, which has a very large courtyard, is also known as Taş Han.
BEKDEMİR WOODEN MOSQUE: Located in Bekdemir Village, the mosque was built in 1873. It has a wooden structure and attracts attention with its carving and plant motif ornaments.
